Spirit In Motion

Before the London 2012 Paralympics I wrote a blog hoping that these games would take Paralympic Sport to a new level.

In my opinion these Paralympic games have raised the bar for future years. Record ticket sales & crowds as the people of  Great Britain have embraced Paralympic sport.

The athletes have responded with many amazing performances resulting in PB’s and countless World Records. The home crowd now have many new idols in GB stars Ellie Simmonds, David Weir, Hannah Cockroft, Richard Whitehead and Irish super sprinter Jason Smyth. I’m missing so many names in that list but Oscar Pistorius was taken into the home fans hearts as well.

Words cannot do justice to the day I spent inside the Olympic Stadium. I was in awe of the level of competition and the ability of the athletes competing. Yet you still sensed there was still a high level of comradery between one and all.

I made a video which you can view below to give you some idea of what the Paralympics are like as well as some photographs.
